Aquilano Rimondi, I love you. The Spring Summer collection was reminiscent of Prada, and not in the least is that a bad thing. I was obsessed with the ruffle pieces, satin fabrics, and applique bralettes. The colors worked together in complete harmony, and I am smitten. I want it all.

Fashion Review: Alberta Feretti
Alberta Feretti never disappoints. Her designs are very much in line with what I like, so it's easy for her collections to always get an A+ from me. Spring/ Summer 2014 was no exception. I love the black and white with floral detail textiles. The dresses were easy, and perfect for warm weather.

Fashion Review: Alexander Wang
I love Alexander Wang's design aesthetic- super clean, yet unbelievable stylish. His pieces evoke minimalistic ease. I loved a few looks from his S/S14 collection so much- the stylish pajama short set? I'm in. What I did not enjoy were some of the models- a bit too zombie-ish looking for me.

Deodo(RANT)
With all the deodorant options on the market today, one would think it would be easy to find one that suits your needs- but no! It is actually much harder than it seems if you are looking for healthy choices, and are trying to steer clear of parabens and aluminum. If you you swing by any random drug store, you will see tons of plausible options- yet, I can almost guarantee that the majority of them contain horrible, toxic ingredients. This is why I turned to natural and holistic choices. However, everywhere I looked it seemed the only choices were to buy a natural deodorant that wore off in about an hour, and left me more smelly, or suck it up and buy the toxic variety that worked. Personally for me, the latter is not an option anymore. I then became a master of layering two different types of natural deodorants- topped with a powder to boot! I was tired of all the hassle just to remain fairly un-smelly throughout the duration of the day.
Luckily, I remembered reading about Lavanila. They were nice enough to send me over a sample to test out. I am really very surprised, and happy with the way to deodorant has worked so far. First off, it smells great and is completely free of aluminum and parabens. Hooray! They have five total yummy scented options that I cannot wait to try. I am also a sucker for the pretty packaging and unique design. Do you have any favorite deodorants/ healthy alternatives?

Fashion Review: Peter Som
I have slowly been delving into the process of reviewing all the fashion shows from the Spring Summer 2014 collections that took place in NY the past couple of weeks- it is no easy feat! I start with my favorite designers, and that's why Peter Som is up first. Peter grew up in San Francisco, so for some reason I feel like we are kindred spirits. For his Spring Summer 2014 collection, he showed relaxed styles with fun, beach-chic worthy prints. Just my style.

High Tide, High Test
My coffee drinker friends are often amazed that I live in a place that offers such great artisanal coffee, yet I do not drink the stuff. Although my taste buds don't jump for java, my eyes are always open to beautifully designed packaging- and these super-cool coffee concentrate bottles from We Have Many Surfboards, based in Santa Barbara, fit the bill. Imagine these bad boys gracing your kitchen with their presence? They just might {might} have me give coffee another go round.

Bow Down
Just a little background on a few words I have been personally working on in my life... "need" & "want". Granted, you don't need very much to get by in the world. But, when pieces as gorgeous as these little bow works of art from Delpozo visualize themselves, all bets are off. "Want" wins every single time.

Take It To The Bridge
Living in Marin, I pass over the Golden Gate Bridge every single day. At this point, I have run across, walked across, and driven across this bridge more than any other bridge in the world. To say I love this bridge is an understatement. So when I heard that The Golden Gate Design & Furniture Company uses salvaged pieces from the original bridge in their designs, I was intrigued. What a great way to pay tribute to such an amazing local monument.

Got You Covered
I am back from a very long sabbatical!! I took some time off from this blog to focus on some other projects I have going on right now. I am now in a good place with them, and I feel like I can come back to posting semi-regularly. Thank you to everyone for still checking in every once and a while.
First post back is featuring these beautiful, handmade blankets from artist, Taiana Giefer. She sources natural wool from all over the world and makes each one by hand. They are truly amazing pieces of work. Personally, I am partial to the magenta with metallic fringe edging one- stunning!
