Fashion Review: Vivienne Westwood Red Label

Vivienne Westwood has an endless flow of amazingness running through her blood. She is still turning out highly anticipated collections season after season, and hitting the mark EVERY time.

Fashion Review: Nicole Farhi

Nicole Farhi is celebrating the 30th anniversary of her line this year, though it doesn't look a day over twenty five. She is still rocking it every single season- Fall 2012 not to be excluded. The unique olive jewel tones and sequin detailing were the high points of this collection for me.

Fashion Review: Burberry Prorsum

Christopher Bailey does a fantastic job with Burberry Prorsum. It has a very distinct, young & hip look that I can't seem to get enough of- Fall 2012 included. I love the striped accents mixed with the velvety fabrics. I can see this cool girl at Brown, in the Fall, attending a rugby game.

Fashion Review: Rebecca Minkoff

Ok, I fell real behind... like real, real behind on keeping up with fashion weeks. Luckily, I pushed through all of London last night, and will move on to Milan today. I realized I have a few stragglers from NY that I am going to post randomly- like Rebecca Minkoff. I loved this collection so much! She did an amazing job with colors and layering. If I was a buyer, I would snap this all up!

Lip Locked

I recently read a statistic in Allure magazine that stated, "50% of women would choose mascara if they were only allowed one makeup product". I was pretty surprised by that statement, being an avid lip gloss girl myself. So in a homage to my favorite beauty product, I give you the season's latest and brightest...

Set Afire

Color is always a major key in my world. Here are a few color theme stories I put together for fun...

{lime: 1, 2, 3, 4}
{powder blue: 1, 2, 3, 4}

Sunday Best

I was so excited for the red carpet at the Oscars... and I must say, I was quite disappointed at the lackluster showing of standout gowns. Of course, they were plenty of nice dresses, just not many "moments". Of the mix that did walk the carpet, here were my favorites below. Michelle Williams being my favorite {minus that weird bow pin}. Who made your best dressed list?

Week in Review

I decided to revive my "Week in Review" post, starting today! I will post them on the weekends, so make sure to check back to see what I have been up to, and what I have come across {hipstamatic style} during the week. These past few weeks I have...

* took the coastal route down to Santa Cruz {those are surfers on the cliffs}
* spotted an orange, awesomely detailed door on a church
* in love with the Love cups at Starbucks
* contemplated sparkly minis at All Saints
* spotted a rather large pink starfish in Half Moon Bay
* stopped at one of the prettiest views overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge
* splurged on the Bvlgari bejweled Pellegrino at work {just to be fancy}
* snapped this beach inspired graffiti on a park bench
* laughed at the giant cart of oranges at Whole Foods

Flatly

Paul Smith is werking it out for Spring in the shoe department. Can we just talk about how amazing all these options are? As a tall gal, I can never go wrong with a pair of flats, which is why I am so happy there are flats like these...

Go Your Own Way

One of my favorite quotes from Lewis Carroll is "If you don't know where you are going, any road will take you there". Now, to find the roads all you need is to purchase a few map print clothing and accessory pieces. Who says you need GPS when your outfit can lead the way...

New York Fashion Week Roundup

I thought this was going to be the year... the year that I can actually stay current on viewing all the collections. Apparently not, because I have drastically slipped- there are so many shows to keep up with, I can only imagine how the editors must feel! I have no choice but to leave NY behind and move onto London. Here are a few of my favorite looks from the collections I actually had time to look at- the rest will simply have to wait.

{Row 1: Lela Rose, Tory Burch, Jill Stuart, Christina Cota}
{Row 2: Altuzarra, Billy Reid, BCBG Max Azria, L.A.M.B}
{Row 3: Tory Burch, Rachel Zoe, Peter Som, BCBG Max Azria}
{Row 4: Altuzarra, Steven Alan, Lacoste, DVF}

So Clutch

Clutches are having a major moment. Designers have taken their aesthetic up a notch to stand out, and the message is coming across loud and clear. Here are a few clutch options that are sure to spark a conversation or two...

Fashion Review: Sophie Theallet

Sophie Theallet has a knack for dresses- which suits me just fine because I do as well. Her collection for Fall 2012 was full of bright colors, and wallpaper-like prints that I am already imagining being requested {as I write this} for editorial shoots.

Fashion Review: Wes Gordon

For a newcomer, Wes Gordon is rocking my world. In his Fall 2012 collection, the colors aren't as cohesive as I would have liked, but the outfits are phenomenal, so who really cares. Here are four looks that I would rock any day.

Spruce Is The Word

Holy moley ladies, I hope you like green- spruce to be exact, because is it showing up in nearly EVERY collection. A moment with this deep, luxurious hue...

{collection from left to right: Tory Burch, Catherine Malandrino, Yigal Azrouel, Wes Gordon, Tibi, Rebecca Taylor, Tibi Yigal Azrouel, Charlotte Ronson, Oscar de la Renta, Sachin & Babi, Sophie Theallet, Peter Som, Doori, Rebecca Minkoff}

Lacquered

Butter London has rolled out the carpet on their Spring/Summer 2012 collection- which continues to be 3-free. I was lucky enough to receive a bottle of Bossy Boots {which is a mint/pistachio-like green}, and it is the perfect shade for Spring's trending pastels. Here are a few other great shades from the collection.

P.S.- that pink sparkly shade is called Disco Biscuit. Is that not the best name?

Fashion Review: Mara Hoffman

For her Fall Winter 2012 collection, Mara Hoffman stayed true to her signature bright fabrics and prints, and it worked more than well. The dresses wear easy and are seasonless. Here are my favorites looks...
