The Watchmen

I am sure by now you all know how much I love an option- it's a blessing and a curse, especially when you come across too many great options. Such was the case when I came across May28th- a super fun collection of affordable, candy-colored time pieces. I ended up choosing the ones that had some personal meaning to me- like JFK cause NY is my home, and the plumeria flowers to bring back memories of times spent in Hawaii. I had a blast matching them up with appropriate images. Swing by May28th to see what styles you fancy!

Destination Mexico

I once got my palm read and was told that I was Mayan in a past life. You could probably write off most things palm readers tell you as made up brew ha-ha, except I believe this one- or want to- because of my obsession with Mexico. Even though I have only ever been to TJ and down to Rosarito, something tells me if I took a trip to someplace like Hotel Casa Tota in Baja Sur, I might rethink my return. Hotel Casa Tota is an adorable boutique hotel with tons to offer and is just about a hundred dollars a night! I am really considering a trip- who's with me?

Bauble Buys

What if I told you all these amazing baubles were under $10 bucks?! You would be pretty impressed, huh? I was too when I found out that Brandy Melville had such adorable & affordable gems. Here are a few of my favorite budget friendly buys that definitely won't break the bank...

Sounds of Summer

Here are a few {of the many} songs that I have been playing on repeat this Summer- especially anything by Father John Misty.

Spotlight: Rory Beca Fall 2012

The Fall collections have started rolling in which is nice for me because I'm ready for it! Living in SF has robbed me of a proper Summer, so might as well just get down to the new stuff! Rory Beca was definitely channeling some inner rocker goddess on this collection. The shorts are the standout pieces for me- especially those striped sequin ones... obsessed with all things evergreen for Fall.

Double Agent

I think the theory that things happen in threes might be correct. I have had three expensive endeavors come my way recently- my car needs new brakes {oh these SF hills}, I am apartment hunting {oh security deposits}, and now my computer decided to start freezing {my reason for lack of posts this week}.

On a lighter note, I came across a pretty neat idea by Xirena- swimsuits that moonlight as underwear! Kind of perfect for those late night ocean dips, don't you say? They come in a ton of colorful colorblocked and printed options that you can find here and here.  In the spirit of threes, here are three of my favorite combos.

M{ondo} Rings

As you can probably tell from here, here, and here, I have been on a major jewelry kick. With all honesty, I can't help it... I keep being introduced to lines and pieces that are uniquely beautiful. Right now, I am obsessed with these hand-crafted agate rings from RabLabs. They are all one of a kind and have the most fascinating details.

Retake

Various snaps of this outfit post from Sincerely, Jules are saved in my idea folder, and this is because it is unexpected in many ways, yet totally works- I love the pop of neon on the cardigan. Well, in my online shopping escapades I came across these polka dot bad boys and they reminded me of her polka dot post. I thought I would do a little retake of my own... thanks for the inspiration Jules!

Hey, Stevie!

Steven Alan is probably one of my favorite labels. This is partially due to that fact that year after year they remain true to their vision and continue to churn out classic staples like their ruffle bra & panty sets- which I am always lovin'. The best part is they are now on sale! Scoop 'em up here before they are gone!

Outside Lands Review

I was lucky enough to attend Outside Lands this past weekend. It was my first big music festival so I wasn't really sure what to expect. I must say, I had an absolute blast! I am pretty bummed it is over, but glad I have a lifetime full of awesome memories to reflect upon. I managed to take in twenty six shows in three days {whew!} including my favs- Metallica, Stevie Wonder, Foo Fighters, and Father John Misty. I can't believe the insane light shows that were put on by Metallica & then Skrillex the following night- truly mesmerizing. Stevie left us all wanting to run out and better the world, and Father John Misty showed us some insane hip action. Here are a few snaps of my trip to Outside Lands...

Medal Standing

Even though the Olympics are just about to come to a close, you can still keep your personal Olympic torch burning with the Go For The Gold collection from Dogeared... especially if you are anything like me and basically have all Olympic footage on DVR- I will be playing catch up until at least September. Each medal  necklace is gold dipped and displayed on a card reminding you to infuse it with a wish!
