New Addition

Spring has been in the air for a few weeks now in San Francisco, and the warmer temperatures and sunshine have definitely been appreciated. I am ready for a wardrobe revamp, and Thakoon Addition is the front runner. I am loving the casually chic collection full of bright, punchy florals and textured jackets.

I have had Tod's Gommino driving mocs on my lust list for quite some time now. I recently came across a limited edition pair in a magazine, and they were so beautiful I couldn't help but run over the their site to track them down. While I didn't find the ones I came looking for, I did see this collection of limited edition mocs. Gaudy and Michael Jackson-esque? Um, yea, sure. But I think they cross that fine line of being so crazy they are actually very, very cool. What do you think, would you rock any of these?

Art 101

I have always read that when picking out pieces of art, you should pick pieces that you love and not buy just to impress people because ultimately, you will be the one who (literally) has to live with it. I always thought that was funny... I could never imagine buying a piece that I disliked just because someone, somewhere said it was cool. I will buy what I like, and I wouldn't mind if my purchases included one of these pieces from artists Martin Davis & Alison Cooley, respectively.

When I come across children's collections like Little Lief, it makes me want to bust out the sewing machine and continue to make children's clothing like I used to a few years back. I love how all the fabrics are a very breathable 100% organic cotton. Here are a few snaps and pieces from their Spring 2013 collection.

JM & Sons

I have been on a housing kick for quite a while now... I do have subscriptions to Elle Decor, House Beautiful, and Traditional Home, after all. I also have extensive files filled with design ideas and I am always imagining a complete home restoration project where I can re-do every aspect to make it my own- ahh, one day! JM & Sons makes some lovely pieces that will definitely be added to my list of essential items.

TGIF

Every once and a while a show will come along and completely take over my life. This last happened a couple of years ago when I decided to re-watch Felicity- and for the record, it was even better the second time around. Well, it just happened again... I know I am late to the party, but for some reason I started watching Friday Night Lights. I really don't know how this happened because I am not even a football fan, but I can't seem to stop watching. I am half way through season four, and just have season five after that. Incase you haven't watched it, here are a few enticing shots from an amazing show.

Spotlight: Kula Kai

Like most good things in life, I don't remember exactly how it happened, but somehow I started following Kula Kai on Instagram. Picture after picture, I quickly realized I was a big fan and so I headed over to their Etsy page. Kula Kai's page said they are based in Corona Del Mar, CA- which just happens to be the place that I decided I wanted to live way back before I had ever even been to California... I took that as a sign that I should do a post on them. Enjoy!
