Week In Review

This week has flown by, and not because of the shortened work week {I have not been working anyway}. Most likely because of all the trekking around I have been doing. Here are a few things I have done around the Bay Area this week...

* applied to more jobs than I can name {fingers crossed please}

* headed up to Marin for the Sausalito Art Festival

* ate a tasty grilled cheese and tomato soup at The American Grilled Cheese Kitchen

* continued to see some of the most beautiful flowers on earth

* marveled at the craftsmanship of the Palace of Fine Arts

* smiled at the colorful bikes lining the sidewalk outside Public bikes

* hauled my trusty CarlEton fish tote everywhere- reppin' Long Island to the fullest

* sat in the sunlight contemplating my next move

Westward Ho!

Stylists Emily Current and Meritt Elliott recently teamed up with Kate Spade to collaborate on a line of handbags named Westward. Since I headed westward just a few short weeks ago, this collection feels extra appropriate to me. I have my eye on the Wanderlust satchel-shown below- which is a classic, no logo stunner with just the right amount of edge. Westward Ho!

Back In The Game

After quite a while with Photoshop not working properly, you may have noticed my lack of collaging here on The Inspiration Files. Luckily, I reworked a few computer issues and am now {happily} back in the game.

I couldn't think of a better time to get my collage skills back on, with the U.S. Open in full swing. This is the first time in a couple of years that I will not be able to attend, and I am pretty bummed- watching it on television is just not the same. In the past few years, the designs and silhouettes have really taken on a life of their own, and I love it! The court has fully become the place to strut your style stuff... maybe thriving off the inspiration from NY Fashion Week?
