Healing Hands

I always have extremely dry and cracked hands in the winter. It has been hard trying to find lotions with the perfect thick consistency that also have staying power and won't wipe off right away. Here are my two favorites...

Card Stock

These are two of my favorite cards I received this Holiday season. The first is from Traffic Creative Management, and illustrated by Izak Zenou. The second was from my co-worker, Sam, and is illustrated by Bella Pilar- love them!

Tokyo Milk

I am smitten with the beautiful collage- like patterns, and prints on the beauty products from Tokyo Milk. These are the type of products you don't mind leaving out and about to be admired.

I wrapped these Theo chocolate bars for a few people at work and thought they came out too cute not to share...

Ring In The New Year

I was introduced to Bittersweets by one of our fashion stylists at work. I love the delicate simplicity meets rockstar edge of their jewelry. I already own one of their famous letter rings (see mine stamped with my nickname T.REX below), but I still have my eye on their feather bracelet.

Inspiration Files

Hi! My name is Tara, and welcome to The Inspiration Files. I am an avid collector of any kind of image that makes me feel like I want to do more, create more, and be inspired more. Hopefully, you are the same way and that is why you have found your way here. Here is my black spiral ring notebook that started it all about 8 years ago. Since then, it has grown to a much larger binder, but most of the clippings in the original still rein true- coincidence? I think not! It's called staying true to you, and what you love!

Thanks for stopping by... first off, let me start by introducing myself... I'm Tara, the editor behind The Inspiration Files. I am the perfect combination of an old soul meets child-like whimsy. My mind never stops seeking new and interesting things to fuel my creative flow. I have a penchant for Snapple Peach Ice Teas, and beautiful things. On weekends, you'll most likely find me traveling down the coast taking in the views, and stopping along the way to throw the shells back in the ocean.

Although this blog was only started in early 2011, it has been a personal project in the making for over a decade. I have kept detailed records of fashion and lifestyle images neatly tucked away in divided binders. It's so refreshing to go back and look over the things I loved many years ago, only to find out that they have remained the same. Which definitely makes the case for the fact that if you stay true to the things you love, they never go out of style. I finally decided to start The Inspiration Files as a way to bring the things I love to everyone in the world. So, pull up a chair and stay a while... inspiration is just a click away!
