I am beyond honored, and thrilled to announce that I have been asked to attend Lucky Magazine's first West Coast Fashion & Beauty Blogger Conference {FABB} April 30th in Los Angeles. Tribal Summer

The other day I came across an image of Anja Rubik sailing across the desert on a homemade windsail contraption in uber bright hues and tribal paint. It was a single moment that desperately left me wanting temperatures above 75 degrees. I decided to go back and review the whole shoot with photos by Max Doyle {for the April 2011 issue of Vogue Australia}. Champagne Wishes & Caviar Nails

Is it me, or does there seem to be oodles & oodles of cool, new stuff popping up all over? Like take the nail world for example... in just a short amount of time we have become a manicure obsessed society. From shellac to now, caviar beads- pretty amazing! Week in Review

Here are a few things I saw & did in my world this week:

* thriving, and unbelievably beautiful orchids displayed around the house

* an old SF railway token found on a sidewalk during a hike

* finally got my blue metallic flats stretched

* had new rivets added to the broken straps of an old, favorite bag

* stopped to snap the colors from the flowers at the local floral shop

* laughed at this mini orange- about the size of a ping pong ball

* wearing my green in a four leaf clover scarf sent from my Momma

* finished book two of The Hunger Games- onto book three!

* snapped two hearts draped over a wire up above

Keep Calm And Learn Something New

I don't know about you, but I have gotten pretty tired of the whole Keep Calm movement that has been going on for quite some time now. Every now and then, I will see a new slogan that has popped up and have a laugh... my new fav- Keep Calm and Punch People In The Face. Despite the fact that it has taken on a life of its own, I came across this video on Huffington Post's site that gives a brief rundown of the origin and history behind the poster. If you have three minutes to spare, it's a nice story.

Spotlight: Pyrrha

I first came across Pyrrha in the normal way I come across new collections- down the rabbit hole of websites that link to one another. Their talisman wax seal necklaces {cast from 19th century wax seals} bring an air of nostalgia and comfort knowing the protection they offer. They have a ton of great ones on their site now, so make sure you stop by and find the best fit for you... luckily, I found about ten.

Go Shorty

While I have mentioned previously that I am not very keen on shorts, I think the tides are a-changing. I have been finding so many amazing short options that I might try a few this season- minus anything with less than a 4 inch inseam- though you never know, these San Francisco hills have been giving me a workout!

Rosey Posey

Road trip anyone? I have always wanted to go to the Rose Bowl Flea Market, so when I saw these polaroids over at Table Talk, it made me want to take the trip tenfold. Held the second Sunday of every month, this market would probably be the end of me- or the beginning of my upcoming episode on Hoarders. If you are planning on being in the L.A. area you should definitely look into it!

Swim Time

It's almost about that time... time to start dusting off your swimsuits, or better yet, buy new ones.
