Put A Cork In It

I stopped biting my nails about five years ago, and although it is sometimes a struggle to not do it, the payoff is BIG- manicures, and being able to buy cool nail polishes. Which is why I love Megan Miller for her "put a cork it it" nail polish bottles. They are 3-free, so you don't have to worry about all the nasty chemicals that often go along with nail polishes.

Flower Power

Dresses are my favorite category of apparel, hands down. So every once and a while I do some dress searching to see what great ones are available right now. In doing this, I saw that a couple of my favorite dresses had flower appliques. You can never go wrong with flowers... flowers are always in style...

Lash Out

I made a mental note about a week ago to pick up a new tube of mascara because mine is running out. Then as randomness would have it, I read about Maybelline's Great Lash collaboration with Vivienne Tam, Tracy Reese, and BCBG. How did this awesome collab sneak by me? I just can't seem up- there are just way too many to keep tabs on! Well, now I want one because 1) I used to to work at Vivienne Tam and 2) because they are just so cool.

I have been following Mini Parcel's mini monsters on Etsy for quite some time now. They always seem to be especially appropriate for Halloween, but I can't help but think how cute they would look framed on the wall in a child's room, or an office for a bit of whimsy.

Oh, Baby!

When I saw this runway shot of Kate Moss from the Spring 2012 Louis Vuitton show, I had a fashion moment- you know those moments when you just can't believe how unbelievable, or more amazing it could get?

Then when I saw she was rocking a supreme babydoll style dress, I beamed. There are some trends that I hope never go away- stripes, plaids, and babydoll styles always hit high on my list because despite them being trendy at the moment, I think they fall into the timeless classics category as well. Whether they are "in or out", I will {happily} continue to wear them with pride. Go babydoll!

The Nature of Fashion

Fashion designers gather inspiration for their seasonal collections in a plethora of places. Miu Miu designer, Miuccia Prada, must have been spending some time getting back to nature. The moment I saw this sequin embroidered dandelion print on the runway it made me smile. Miu Miu is always about the sparkle- which is never wrong in my book.

Such is the case with the K. Jacques x Opening Ceremony pairing. I love the bright metallic, and patent updates to the classic label.

I feel like this ELLE France fashion editorial is the perfect segway from Summer into Fall. You can still feel the warmth of the sun, and possibly even sneak in a swimsuit here and there, but ultimately, cozy knits start to take over your wardrobe style.

Things That Make You Go Hmmm

Recently, I have been running into quite a few moments of sheer randomness. Moments where you know there is something much larger than yourself at work sending you small signs- you just have to be aware enough to notice them...

Such moments of coincidence have included: grabbing the last peach Snapple at the store, finding ten dollars on the ground after I had not been working for two months, a Craigslist search for a scooter where I actually knew the person selling it, and this Talking Heads song, that I have been obsessed with lately, coming on at the dentist's office while I was in the chair {I actually made the dentist stop and turn it up so I could revel in the total randomness of the moment}.

Do you ever have purely serendipitous moments?? I would love to hear...

Fall Feelings

This week, I decided to do an extra Saturday post because it hit me that it is October 1st, and because I came across this really adorable image {below} and immediately felt the giddyness that Fall can bring.

It's a season filled with raking leaves, jumping in leaves, catching falling leaves, pumpkin picking, pumpkin carving, burgundy and copper hues, touch football games, cozy sweaters, and costumes. Cheers to a great fall season...
