Macy's Glamorama: Giveaway

I am beyond excited to announce that tomorrow night I will be attending Macy's Glamorama event which helps raise money to benefit childhood illness, cancer, and HIV/AIDS at the Orpheum Theatre here in San Francisco. This year will feature performances by pop-duo Karmin, and award winning singer-songwriter, Robin Thicke. The best part is Macy's was generous enough to offer me two additional tickets to give away! 

One lucky winner will win two tickets to the Karmin & Robin Thicke performances at the Orpheum Theatre- the winner will be announced tomorrow 9/14 @10am- winner will also be contacted by email. NYFW: Marc by Marc Jacobs

I have noticed that it is usually one end of the spectrum or the other with Marc's collections- I either love LOVE them or I dislike them- A LOT. The good news for Spring 2013 is that I love LOVE Marc by Marc Jacobs. He stayed true to the youthful, punchy geometric prints that he does so well. The whole collection was full of candy-colored prints and flirty dresses that you want to wear every single day. I especially love the hair wraps- nice touch!

The September shows are my favorite because they feature the Spring 2013 collections, and also because the weather in NY is still warm enough to flaunt the light & airy get-ups of Summer. I recently came across ilootpaperie and fell in love with their greeting cards. I mean, who in their right mind wouldn't want to receive one of these clever notes? My favorite is "Pop it like it's hot!"- too cute!

TokyoMilk offers up some of the best & prettiest packaging on the beauty market, and their shea butter hand creams do not derail. I love the clean presentation combined with science lab meets curiosity shop-like illustrations. Best of all? They come with a matching drawstring pouch to keep 'em safe.

Spotlight: Lauren Moffatt

Do you have a mental list {like I do} of items that you passed up buying- for one reason or another- that come back to haunt you?  I have several items on this list: the rainbow Prada flats from Spring 2004, the royal blue patent leather Sperry topsiders from last year, and the Lauren Moffatt red and blue stripe dress from last Summer- I still stalk Ebay for these items. Let it be known that Lauren Moffatt ALWAYS makes some pretty cool pieces, and her Fall 2012 collection is no different.
