The Nature of Fashion

Fashion designers gather inspiration for their seasonal collections in a plethora of places. Miu Miu designer, Miuccia Prada, must have been spending some time getting back to nature. The moment I saw this sequin embroidered dandelion print on the runway it made me smile. Miu Miu is always about the sparkle- which is never wrong in my book.

Things That Make You Go Hmmm

Recently, I have been running into quite a few moments of sheer randomness. Moments where you know there is something much larger than yourself at work sending you small signs- you just have to be aware enough to notice them...

Such moments of coincidence have included: grabbing the last peach Snapple at the store, finding ten dollars on the ground after I had not been working for two months, a Craigslist search for a scooter where I actually knew the person selling it, and this Talking Heads song, that I have been obsessed with lately, coming on at the dentist's office while I was in the chair {I actually made the dentist stop and turn it up so I could revel in the total randomness of the moment}.

Fall Feelings

This week, I decided to do an extra Saturday post because it hit me that it is October 1st, and because I came across this really adorable image {below} and immediately felt the giddyness that Fall can bring.

It's a season filled with raking leaves, jumping in leaves, catching falling leaves, pumpkin picking, pumpkin carving, burgundy and copper hues, touch football games, cozy sweaters, and costumes. Cheers to a great fall season...
