Spotlight: Rory Beca x Forever 21

Sometimes I feel like there are so many great collaborations between companies that some {sadly} fall through the cracks. I had just recently heard that Rory Beca designed a collection for fast-fashion retailer Forever 21, and was hoping I wasn't too late to the party. I just checked it out and it is pretty phenom. With most prices hovering around the $20 mark, it's hard not to want to scoop up everything. Here are some shots from the Spring 2012 lookbook.

Yurts & Stuff

Apartment Therapy's Maxwell Gillingham-Ryan's eighteen acre East Hampton sprawl was featured in The New York Times Styles Section this past Thursday, and I was awestruck. First off, eighteen acres in East Hampton- nice. It's more of a family compound complete with some of my favorite architectural structures like yurts & barns. Here's a more detailed view of the goods...

So... these statement towels by Chance are pretty dang awesome! I can't decide which one is my favorite, but it's between SPF 10,000 or Saturday. If you are having a Summer get together or have a beachside wedding coming up, I would order a bunch of these stat.

I would go ahead and bet that Society6  has the best collection of cool iphone cases out there. I couldn't even make it through eight pages in the abstract category without finding at least thirty cases that I would definitely rock. Here are just a few of my favs...

Pop Stars

I totally have a thing for skateboard decks. I love looking at the originality of the artwork, and would one day like to have a wall display in my house. These popsicle decks from Lin Morris are no exception... designed to look like popsicle sticks after the treats been eaten- complete with standard pop jokes- these boards are dip dyed to perfection!

Olympic Style

To kick off the Summer 2012 Olympic Games in London, butter LONDON has appropriately created a trio of metallics- gold, silver, and bronze, fittingly. I know everyone is supposed to strive for the gold, but every single one of these shades is a winner in my book.

How Bazaar?

This weekend I spotted some simplistically perfect Summer tops from Surf Bazaar over at Steven Alan in Hayes Valley. They are a beach must have with their light gauze fabrics and bright silk trim detailing. My personal favorite is the mint with neon orange trim tie back top. I can't wait to take a trip out to Surf Bazaar in Montauk next time I am back in New York.

Seating Arrangements

I must say, Pottery Barn is making me want some chairs! I found this chair {featured in the New York Times Home section} two weeks ago, and fell in love. It led me the the Pottery Barn site where I found a bunch more insanely affordable chairs. No. Seriously. If you need chairs, these are wonderfully inexpensive. Check 'em out!
